Concolor Valvin (2024)
$19.99 / 750ml Bottle
The first of our Lab Series, this experimental wine exhibits a brilliant bouquet of jasmine, green tea and soft lemon on the nose, following through with bright citrus components and a layered, complex mouthfeel on the palate.
Concolor is winemaker Brian Barmore’s first entirely-finished passion project that has produced enough wine to bottle, label and sell to our customers. When asked about his thought process behind it, Brian said he wanted to create a skin-contact wine that brought in all the depth and complexity of an on-the-skins wine, without the bitter phenolic characteristics that usually come along with producing a wine of that style. As a result, Concolor (which pays homage to Brian’s original name for the wine — Puma Concolor aka “Cougar” — and translates to “of the same color” in Latin) is fresh, floral and fruity like many of our white wines at 21 Brix, but has a heavier mouthfeel and a longer finish.
.69% residual sugar
